Loudspeaker Kits by Mivoc

Mivoc SB 180-II - reviewed in Hobby HiFi 1/2002

The 100 x 20 x 28 cm (HxWxD) sized Mivoc SB 180-II (pictured left) is the successor to the proven CT175-II.

This 2.5 way loudspeaker (picture left) is magnetically shielded and has the following specs:
- dimensions (HxWxD): 100x20x28 cm
- impedance: 4 Ohm
- power handling: 120 continuous / 300 Watt programme
- frequency range (-3dB): 35 - 22 000 Hz

Drivers employed are the Neodym tweeter HGH 258 FN and the new WPP 180 midrange / bass driver.

Bernd Timmermanns had nothing but praise for this speaker: "The quality level achieved by Mivoc is quite remarkable, especially when the moderately prized components are considered. Listening to these speakers didn't give any idea about their price (about EUR 120.00 per unit)..."

With the exception of the cabinet, the kit contains all components needed.

To tweak this speaker an improved crossover may be incorporated.
