Ground Sound Transformers

Transformer TR300VA

Using this transformer in a traditionally configured power supply will give rail voltages around +/-42V unloaded. A rail voltage of 42V will give a normal configured amplifier an output power around 150W at 8 Ω and 240W at 4 Ω. Under load the transformer voltage will be lower depending upon the specific load and therefore you will not get the thereoratical calculated output power of 220W at 8 Ω and 440W at 4 Ω. There are also losses at the bridge rectifier, amplifier module and to some extend in the cables.

Transformer TR550VA

Using this transformer in a traditionally configured power supply will give rail voltages around +/-70V unloaded. A rail voltage of 70V will give a normal configured amplifier an output power around 225W at 8 Ω and 350W at 4 Ω. Under load the transformer voltage will be lower depending upon the specific load and therefore you will not get the thereoratical calculated output power of 312W at 8 Ω and 625W at 4 Ω. There are also losses at the bridge rectifier, amplifier module and to some extend in the cables.

Transformer TR600VA

Using this transformer in a traditionally configured power supply will give rail voltages around +/-63V unloaded. A rail voltage of 63V will give a normal configured amplifier an output power around 200W at 8 Ω and 320W at 4 Ω. Under load the transformer voltage will be lower depending upon the specific load and therefore you will not get the thereoratical calculated output power of 253W at 8 Ω and 506W at 4 Ω. There are also losses at the bridge rectifier, amplifier module and to some extend in the cables.

Transformer TR1000VA

Using this transformer in a traditionally configured power supply will give rail voltages around +/-92V unloaded. A rail voltage of 92V will give a normal configured amplifier an output power around 425W at 8 Ω and 750W at 4 Ω. Under load the transformer voltage will be lower depending upon the specific load and therefore you will not get the thereoratical calculated output power of 528W at 8 Ω and 1056W at 4 Ω. There are also losses at the bridge rectifier, amplifier module and to some extend in the cables.

Transformer TR1500VA

Using this transformer in a traditionally configured power supply will give rail voltages around +/-85V unloaded. A rail voltage of 85V will give a normal configured amplifier an output power around 350W at 8 Ω and 650W at 4 Ω. Under load the transformer voltage will be lower depending upon the specific load and therefore you will not get the thereoratical calculated output power of 450W at 8 Ω and 900W at 4 Ω. There are also losses at the bridge rectifier, amplifier module and to some extend in the cables.
