It's a small, first class subwoofer with lots of power and realistic sound at the same time. More and more customers are requiring a subwoofer with perfectly controlled membranes, exceptionally low bass but in a small enclosure.

We've come up with the following solution:
The bass driver possesses a strong drive with a rigid cone, ensuring a tight and controlled movement. Simultaneously, a unique low bass compensation is employed. In addition the amplification module employed is oversized. Sub8 s

The Sub 10S' bass driver is the Alcone AC 8 SW4 manufactured to the highest specs and with a strong magnet for easy control of the moving parts of the driver.

The AC 8 SW4 consists of:

  • a seamless aluminium-sandwich cone
  • a perfectly designed die cast basket
  • a pole piece hole
  • an extremely strong drive (Qts = 0.26)
  • impedance of 4 Ohm, easy load for the amplifier
  • gold plated push-pull terminals
    Quite special is the strong drive, showing - in conjunction with a low tuning - a tonal result that is usually attributed to much larger speaker cabinets only. The new concept of low tuned subwoofers with a strong drive is currently gaining acceptance in the finished loudspeaker industry.

    Located on the rear wall of the subwoofer is the

    RCM Detonation DT 50,
    with state-of-the-art Class-D amplification, ensuring high output and top sound coming from a small enclosure.

    The bass driver's impedance of 4 Ohm ensures that the DT 50's full power is used. (after all the DT 50' output is - like most other modules too- about 50% higher into 4 Ohm than into 8 Ohm)
